The villagers (Tribal) fashion themselves in colourful traditional clothes; depicting the rich culture of Jaunsar, They wear their costumes like ‘Choda’ and “Jhangail” & Diguwa, which is a long coat and a woollen Pajama worn by gents and Ghagra, KurtiDhantu by ladies. Khursha (a pair of shoes made from the goat's hair) is worn to protect feet from snow bite during winters. The local people perform folk dances like Jhenta, Raso, Harul and Tanda ke geet on festivals & fairs (worship of God). The entire mid-Himalayan region has beautiful culture, tradition and architecture

Kanasar

Situated 30 Km from Chakrata in a beautiful deodar forested jungle and rolling meadows, Kanasar is a lovely getaway and a start point for a number of easy treks, overnight stay is also possible.

Har ki Dun

Har Ki Dun is a fascinating valley in the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3645 m, also known as "The Valley of Gods". It is surrounded by alpine vegetation and is highly rich in Flora and Fauna. Borasu Pass connects Har Ki Dun to Baspa valley, it is the main source of Yamuna River and the river flows through the valley. Har ki Dun is known for its captivating beauty, alluring greenery, serene environment and breathtaking views.

Deoban(Devan)

Situated 16kms from Chakrata, Deoban is located in the hills of Chakrata situated at 2,200mts extends to Vyas Shikhar 3,025mts above sea level. It is known after the name of Rishi Ved Vyasa the author of The Mahabharata.

Tiger Fall

Tiger fall is an important attraction 20 km from Chakrata. This mesmerizing waterfall can be reached by an easy 5km trek with Rhododendron and oak trees everywhere. The adventurous trek to the Tiger Fall is an enthralling experience. Tiger Fall is one of the highest direct waterfalls in India falling from a height of about 312ft. This is an ideal place for picnic and photography. The scattering drops of ice-cold water of this majestic waterfall are collected in a small pond making it a gorgeous location with fresh water pools for taking a bath.

Moila Danda

Budher is a place famous for its naturally made ancient caves. These caves are also well known by the name of Moila Caves. Locals shepherd discovered these caves and are still unexplored almost untouched Bugyaals(alpine meadows). The caves are at a 3 Km trek from Forest rest house,Budher. Moila Top is a panoramic green meadow in the centre of which an old Lord Shiva temple provides an amazing experience. This meadow is at a height of 2590mtrs.

Kedarkantha

Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Its elevation is 12,500 ft (3,800 m). Kedarkantha is a thrilling summit trek perfect for beginners. As you stretch yourself and take in the views of the Himalayas from the summit, you feel a strong sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. A trek to the peak of Kedarkantha usually starts from Sankri, a small village, and takes four days to complete.
